Estelle Kruger

Estelle was born in South Africa and has Masters Degrees in Opera Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and from the Pretoria Technicon Opera School, South Africa. Adele in Die Fledermaus. She sang professionally in South Africa for 3 years. Opera roles include: Norina in Donizetti’s opera, Don Pasquale; Adele in Strauss’s opera, Die Fledermauss; Susanna in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Musetta in Puccini’s La Boheme, and Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto. Ms. Kruger has won several awards and prizes. Winner of the East Bay Opera League Competition, Awardee T. Bell Richie Awards, Winner of the Veronica Dunne National Competition, and finalist in Ireland for the Veronica Dunne International Competition. In South Africa, Miss Kruger also won the prestigious Nederburg prize for the Best Opera Singer of the Year for her role of Gilda in Rigoletto, as well as the Vita Award for the same role. Oratorio repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, performed in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Carmina Burana, by Carl Orff. Miss Kruger studied privately in London for one year with Allistair Daws, world-wide known as music coach for singers such as Kiri Te Kanawa, Pavarotti, Bryn Terfel, etc. Future engagements take Miss Kruger to Venezuela to sing the role of Adele in Die Fledermaus and then, returning to her home country where she will sing Despina in Mozart’s opera, Cosi fan Tutte.
