Rachel Brott

Soprano

Rachel graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Artists’ Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Samuel Rubin Academy at Tel Aviv University where she studied on full scholarship. While in Israel, Rachel performed in the Kfar Blum Chamber Music Festival, with the Technion Orchestra, the Israel Opera, Emek Hefer Opera and the chamber group Les Violons du Roi David

. In New York, Rachel was a soloist with Collegium Antiquum in the St. Cecilia Mass. Rachel also appeared in the Oregon Coast Festival and the Aspen Music Festival. She was a winner of the Bay Area Artists’ Fellowship Grant. Locally, Rachel was in the Debut Artist Series at Music Sources in Berkeley, and performs frequently throughout the Bay Area. She has sung leading roles with Pocket Opera, Berkeley Opera, Lamplighters, Diablo Light Opera, and with Lyric Opera Walnut Creek. She was recently seen in the Bay Area Jewish Music Festival’s production of La Juive in the role of Eudoxie with much success. Other highlights include the soprano solo in Carmina Burana, The Faure Requiem, The Creation, Bach’s Peasant Cantata, Coffee Cantata and Cantata 51 as well as Constanze in Abduction from the Seraglio, Lucy in The Telephone, Norina in Don Pasquale, and Mme. Herz in The Impresario.
